Unfortunately, our New Year's day weather is going to a more severe version of David's. We are currently under a blizzard warning for this evening and tomorrow. Heavy snow combined with 60 mph winds with gusts to 80mph. Then, as an afterthought, Environment Canada added that severe whiteout conditions were expected - oh joy! I suspect that once again we will lose power - we seem to experience in every major snow and/or wind storm so far this year. However, as with every blast of bad news, there is an upside: Carolee is off until next Monday, so that means she will not have to drive in the mess, and we are celebrating the arrival of the new year with Judy and Marvin. Since we both live in the same building, we don't even have to go outside. That also means we can have a few (!) drinks without having to worry about driving home. Besides, the hallways in the building are narrow enough that one doesn't have to worry about straying off course on the way home - just bounce off the walls and stay on your feet!
We hope everyone on the forum has a safe and happy New Year's, and much happiness and prosperity in the new year.
