The Coachella Valley Dog Club was created to educate owners, train dogs, and hold shows. We educate owners on:* The need for proper training* The need for good nutrition* The need for medical care* The need for spaying & Neutering* Rattle Snakes & Vaccines* Disaster prepardness* Hiking Do's and Dont's We Teach Humans & Their Dogs:* Basic Obedience* Advanced Obedience* Agility* Confirmation* Therapy Dog Certification* Bonding* SERVICE DOG TRAINING & CERTIFICATION We Hold Shows in The Following Categories:* Obedience* Agility* Good Canine Society Member * Confirmation* Therapy Dog Readiness We started this club for owners who have adopted or rescued their dogs from Shelters and other facilities. These dogs DO NOT need to be purebred. They Must be well socilized, friendly, and a happy and loved member of your family.
Membership is available to anyone that has adoptedor rescued their dog. One membership per household.Children under 18 years of age are covered by their parents membership.Membership Dues are paid every 6 months. Membership Dues are donated to non-profit rescue orginiations across the Coachella Valley that meet the Coachella Valley Dog Club Requirements.Membership Dues are TAX DEDUCTABLE. All members must attend at least one educational event per year!
Our Next Club Training Events Will Be Held at the La Quinta Park at the Corner of Adams Street & Westward Ho by Animal Behavioral Consulting (ABC K9). Tuesday September 30th at 7pm - BEGINNING OBEDIENCE FREE TO EVERYONE MEMBERS & NON-MEMBERS!!! Saturday October 4th at 7pm - ADVANCED OBEDIENCE Thursday October 9th at 7:30pm - GOOD CANINE SOCIETY MEMBER Please Call or E-mail to hold your spot. You need to arrive 15 minutes Early to register. You must bring proof of vaccinations to first class. All classes are 6 weeks long. they are held once a week at the same day and time each week for 6 weeks. Certification is given at the end of 6 weeks. Classes are free for Club members. Classes are $85.00 for non-club member Classes are DISCOUNTED for residence of ALISO I and ALISO II and Seniors 65 and older. Proof of residency and age required. Kids are more then welcome to attend all classes, shows, and events but we are not babysitters and your child must remain under your supervision and care! Our Next Club Education Event Will Be Held in the La Quinta Park on the Corner of Adams and Westward Ho. Sunday November 9th from 12noon-4pm. Nutritional Support, Health Advice, member Enrollment, Canine Safety, and People & Dog Relationship aspects will be covered.
