Built in 1963 the same year as Logic was born and opened in September that same year the newer rotating aerial tram cars are the largest rotating tram cars in the world.
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is one of Palm Springs finest attractions we have to offer visitors that come to Palm Springs as well the PS Tram a locals favorite.
The tram cars run approximately every 20 minutes each day from the 2643 feet elevation tramway base station at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains the cars rise up off of the desert floor where the temperatures are higher the rotating tram cars ride on thick cable rolling on pulleys crossing over 5 steel erected towers until the cars arrive at the mountain station with an altitude of 8,516 feet. For additional information please visit the PS Tramway
We recommend bringing warm clothes (long pants and jackets) in the winter months of late October thru March and that you always wear hiking boots or athletic shoes because the ground can be slippery when you venture out onto the observation deck for some photo opportunities or if you decide to take a hike on one of the wonderful scenic trails from off of the back side of the tram car exit area.Bring some money along for the gift shop and the two nice hilltop restaurants you are going to have a great time.
