This event in the desert this year I think was a bust. I have watched some of it on TV while at the club & the seats are empty---this isn't a good thing in the long run. As LOGIC put it, "It is ALL about the $$$MONEY$$$
I hope it will be better in 2010...for all of us

As for the empty seats--the cameras were not always on the main stadium--which holds more than any other stadium in the world except for the US Open in New York.
HARDLY a bust!!! as David describes it. It also brings in more tourisit $$$ than the Bob Hope Golf tourny by far--And that's a true fact!!!-Steve Reid
Here are the official numbers for this year's PNB Open:
332,498, over the 2008 #'s of 331,692...this new record is due to the fact that they had added night action on the 1st Thurday of the tournament which brought in 13,222 for the night. Those are darn good #'s... Chating with LOGIC & friends at the Desert Sun, resturant & hotels #'s were still down for that period... So it is a good thing they did have such a turnout...
Let's hope 2010 is a better year for all of us!!!
