Logic, good news, bad news! Crazy

Good news! My daughter is moving out to be with me full time starting March 3rd! She moved in with her father in September and although she is not too far away it's been the only time she's not lived with me and oh how I mess her!

Bad news! She is "home schooled" in San Bernardino County. It's with "Options For Youth". I have been searching daily for a week and cannot find ANYTHING similar to this in Palm Springs! I have Googled and searched my heart out. Do you know anything about home schooling here? I don't want her in public school, I can't afford private school!

Can you help me find anything? Know anyone? Heard anything?

BTW: Did you know my daughter was first published at age 11 through Cal Ploy Pomona? Did you know I am my daughters #1 fan?! Did I ever mention that she's been published 3 times since and is in her senior year of high school and she turned 16 last September?! Yes, I am a proud mama!

I am so glad to read your proud postings about your daughter, as I am the same way about my son!!! He is 19, has his own computer business, goes to college full-time, and is a GREAT, GREAT young man. We are so proud of him. He has a beautiful girlfriend and is so active in the church...he is truly a blessing!!! Wow

Sorry to ramble on... BigGrin I wish I knew something about the schools there, but that is a category I know nada about. ANYONE ELSE KNOW ANYTHING????

Hi Lesley! At 19 I was waiting tables! Worked my way there by washing dishes at 14, prep cooking at 16, cooking by 18....ended up in the restaurant insustry most of my life. I've worked hard enough for both my daughter and myself! I'll do anything to keep her in school, even if that means she lives with me until she's 30 (okay, well...). I aint never got much of a edumacaton myself......And not much direction nither...

I'm proud of your son too! Goal oriented! He must have received a lot of support from his family! How wonderful!

I'm glad you shared!
