OK folks, I have a question. I have been doing paranormal investigations for the past 35 years or so, and these have been especially productive since I met and married Carolee, who is a "sensitive" in her own right. (At this year's dinner, be sure to ask her about 'Little Willie", whom she met in one of the local country cemeteries).

My question is, is anyone aware of reportedly haunted locations in PS or surrounding area? And would the owners of these locations possibly be open to a professional investigation?

Any leads would be appreciated.

Hello Don, WOW how cool what a great thing to pursue. Logic will for sure ask around with all of these old buildings and historic locations that Palm Springs offers.
Especially Palm Springs Hotels that once living high profile persons of industry or people from the entertainment and sports industries once partied in like rock stars. Cool

Hey Don...if you ever would like to expand it further, you should go down South...there are lots of places down there that are supposed to be haunted! I know there is one in Louisiana called The Myrtles, and it supposed to be crawling with spirits...Frank keeps wanting me to go there and spend a night there, but I doubt I could do it!! w00t

Being from that area, he thinks it is cool! However, there have been lots of times I have experienced things that could not be explained, so I'm not against finding out more about it at all...just from someone else's experiences, not mine!! HAHA! Wink

Lesley...yes, I'm very familiar with The Myrtles and Chloe, one of its resident spirits. I've never visited, but I have been in touch with two U.S. - based paranormal investigators who have, and one of them was kind enough to send me copies of photos she took while there. If I ever get there, you can rest assured I will be spending the night! BigGrin Troy Taylor's American Ghost Society website: http:/www.prairieghosts.com has a section which gives a very comprehensive history of The Myrtles and it's various spirit presences.

Hey Don,

I alway love a good ghost story... I talked to my Mom and she said check out an old place in Palm Springs..."Howard Manor", it is located on Indian Canyon Drive, near the Desert Hospital. That is all I can give you, but she said it had some ghostly history...

Thanks, David...Howard Manor sounds like it might be an interesting project, providing one can get permission. It's definitely something to keep in mind. It's been my experience that while most people are okay with an investigator or group coming in - most just want to know who or what is present - there is always a minorty who will refuse. Most don't give a reason, but usually it's either that they are in a state of denial about what is happening, or they don't want the neighbors to know. One thing we do not do is use a ouija board, or try to "exorcise" the spirit. Once it has been determined that there is actually a spirit present , Carolee will try to talk with them to determine why he or she is still there, and if they want some help to go into the light and cross over.
